Spray Booth Manufacturer Of The Year 2023 & 2025

Stay Legal. Stay Safe. Get Your Spray Booth Compliance Sorted.
Everything you need right now to meet your obligations, protect your team and avoid costly enforcement.
You’re at risk.
Are you ready for inspection?
Every day in motor-vehicle repair workshops, sprayers using two-pack (2K) paints expose themselves — and their team — to invisible dangers. According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), these are one of the leading causes of occupational asthma in the UK.
If your spray booth isn’t compliant, you’re not just risking health: you’re risking enforcement, downtime, cost, and your reputation. The good news? You don’t have to figure it out alone.

What the law requires of you
Under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH), you must control exposure to isocyanates — especially when spraying 2-pack paints.
That means ...
- Using a proper spray booth or room with correct extraction and slight negative pressure.
- Using air-fed breathing apparatus certified to the right standard (BS EN 14594:2018) not just filtering respirators.
- Measuring and displaying clearance times for the spray area (using a smoke generator) so staff stay safe until mist has cleared.
- Ongoing testing, monitoring and maintenance of your spray booth/extraction system.

How Rowley Spray Booths Keeps You Legally Compliant
Staying compliant doesn’t stop at installation. The law requires ongoing monitoring to ensure your booth continues to protect your team. Under HSE and COSHH regulations, both breathing air quality and spray booth clearance times must be regularly tested and documented.
Quarterly Breathing Air Tests
Your air-fed breathing apparatus must be tested every 3 months to confirm the air is safe to breathe and free from oil, water, and contaminants. Our engineers carry out full breathing air assessments to meet HSE guidance, providing certified results and documentation for your records.
LEV Safety & Clearance Testing
Your spray booth must undergo a COSHH-required LEV test at least every 14 months. We measure airflow performance and calculate safe re-entry times using approved smoke methods — giving you full certification and clear signage so you stay protected and inspection-ready.
Flexible Service Options
We offer both tests as stand-alone visits or as part of an ongoing compliance package, giving you the choice to stay fully covered without the administrative burden. Packages include reminders before each test is due, full reports, and certificates for your records.
